The sun is shining, the birds are singing.......

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, all sorts of 'nature noises' and the faint hummm of the ocean, that is what I am listening to as I sit and type today's Blog. Which is a far cry from the weekend's weather oh my goodness, this was a weekend to remember. We had BigBear and BabyBear come through for the weekend and as soon as they arrived the fun began. Houdini aka Max got out of the gate as they pulled up taking Sasha with him and together they took off at speed down the road. BigBear took off after them on foot, with Hubby going in a different direction with the car. It took a full 15 minutes before they arrived back almost simultaneously with only one of them bearing the two miscreants - BigBear, who had to run and dodge traffic trying to catch them. We are thinking of putting a GPS tracker on that darn dog haha. It was so good to see the family, to be able to spend some really good relaxing time with them and actually see THEM relax in the tranquility of Betty's Bay. On Saturday we went off in search of a small beach which is reported to have beautiful shells, it took awhile and some wrong turns but we found 'A'beach which was small and quite sheltered from the wind which had started in the morning. There were some lovely shells and rocks but I cannot say it was full of shells, nevertheless we had a wonderful time and came home with the beginnings of a collection. By Saturday evening (as predicted by the weather apps) the wind had risen to gale proportions accompanied by heavy rain. Dear friends when I say gale proportions I do mean GALE force winds up to approximately 90 kph - eeeek it made for an interesting evening as our house has a flat tin roof so the noise was magnified even more. We had a couple of leaks where it was raining so hard it was rainied in through the windows where they open and close. At times it sounded as if the roof might just go flying off, but happily everything stayed intact and there was no damage, not a lot of sleep was had I might add. Yesterday dawned cold, grey, wet and windy but no gales so all plans to go the beach were abandoned and we opted for a roaring fire and general laziness. I cannot wait for the rest of the family to be able to join us to unwind and recharge their batteries. I do so miss the rest of them enormously. Love you guys to the moon and back.

Today the sun is shining, hardly any clouds and as is usual with all Monday's a few challenges just to spice things up Max escaped AGAIN, we looked for him to no avail and he came home on his own, washing machine is having the Monday blues and we are doing the little odd jobs that still need to be seen to.

Can you believe it ? We have not even been retired for two weeks and on Wednesday (6am) my precious Hubby is flying off to Johannesburg until Friday evening for work. The day we moved in he received a call from a company that had seen his website and want some work done. He did a couple of examples for them that same evening and on Thursday they called and have given him the work. They are flying him up to get it going and from then on he should be able to do the rest long distance. Just once more we are seeing God's provision and His impeccable timing. Folks there are times in life when we cannot imagine how we will ever turn our situations around, change things or see a breakthrough but all I can say is, God promises us in His Word that "He will never leave us or forsake us," that if He can and "does provide for even the little birds He will surely provide for US." But, He also tells us that "we must not lose hope or grow weary in prayer and faith." We as believers are charged to pray "without ceasing and when we've done everything we know to do, then to continue to stand firm." Dear friends, God has each and every persons 'number' and He will change your situation, whatever it is, if you will continue to trust Him and use wisdom in your daily affairs.

As I can hear my temperamental washing machine beginning to sing a tune I am going to bid you all Ciao for now. I pray your week is peaceful, filled with blessings, good health, love and provision. I am positive my week will be anything but dull and look forward to our next 'catch up'. As always please stay safe and if you've had a rough day take a moment to B R E A T H E.
